PLAYING CARDS

The project involves designing a Lake Tahoe-inspired French 52 playing card set that highlights the region's wildlife, environment, and activities. I wanted to create a unique product to add to the tourism industry within Tahoe, capturing people's excitement and love for the area. The cards have a vibrant and graphic illustration style that will stand out against other products.

SOLUTION

I created the deck following a strict color palette and graphic style to ensure the deck remained unified and cohesive throughout. Each suit represents one of the four seasons, as determined by suit ranking and season popularity. Spades represent Summer, while hearts depict Winter, the two busiest times of year for the tourism industry.
